Safitek Research conducted a survey of 449 people aged 15 and older in the Port-au-Prince metropolitan area between November 10 and December 2, 2018. The survey included a range of questions concerning the access to and the use of mobile technology.

of the people surveyed reported owning a mobile phone, including 65% who reported owning an internet-capable smart phone.

of mobile phone users reported not being satisfied at all with the quality of their phone service.

of smart phone users reported being connected to social media. WhatsApp was the most popular social media network, with 85% of smart phone users reporting using it.

of respondents reported having used a mobile money service.
